Anti-Gay Group Describes The "Fallout" If LGBTs Get Equal Rights

Anti-gay hate group Focus On The Family attempts to push the extremes with this video which they claim shows what "will happen if the Supreme Court redefines marriage."

The host starts by saying, "This is what legal experts say..."

What he means is "This is what WE say will happen."

Focus on the Family promotes their anti-gay "Day of Dialogue"

This kind of thing is always interesting to me.

If you were to come across this little video, you might think that it's pretty harmless. Candi Cushman, of the innocuous sounding Focus On The Family, tries to present the anti-gay propaganda in a very "polite" and passive-aggressive manner here.

Candi (isn't that a friendly name?) frames issues in the context of helping students "wade through the confusion" regarding bullying and LGBT students in high schools.  To be honest, I don't think there's much "confusion" on behalf of high school students on this issue today.

And isn't the "host" wonderful to continually praise all of the "great stuff" in the Day of Dialogue parenting guide.  You hear from her that it's all so fantastic, it really must be, right?

I think some ultra-conservative groups and parents like to present this information in this manner so it doesn't come across as stridently anti-gay, because that would be "distasteful."

Instead, Focus On The Family phrases their buzz words in a tone that seems just dog-gone friendly and helpful.

It's not. What FOTF is doing is trying to sell their propaganda for their "Day of Dialogue" which actually promotes the right to bully in schools.

The Day of Silence is a student-led national event on (April 11th this year) that brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. That's a good thing.

What FOTF would do is turn "Day of Silence" around and have you believe that it's primary objective is anti-religion, which it's not.

It's all very insidious. Watch FOTF's little video as much as you can, knowing what the true agenda here is.

"Day of Dialog" from anti-gay Focus On The Family

The video above is to promote anti-gay organization Focus On The Family's "Day of Dialogue" - a rebuttal to GLSEN's "Day of Silence:"

The National Day of Silence is a day of action in which students across the country vow to take a form of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools.

Founded in 1996, the Day of Silence has become the largest single student-led action towards creating safer schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. From the first-ever Day of Silence at the University of Virginia in 1996, to the organizing efforts in over 8,000 middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities across the country in 2008, its textured history reflects its diversity in both numbers and reach.

Fascinating that Focus On The Family and other anti-gay organizations urge parents to keep their kids home from school on Friday to try and minimize the impact of something positive like teaching kids it's not cool to beat the shit out of gay kids.

But on the website for "Day of Dialogue" they say:

"Wouldn’t it be nice if a deeper and freer conversation could happen when controversial sexual topics are brought up in your school?"

So NOW they want to talk about sexual topics???

And btw - the students in the above video keep saying they "have a voice" but notice how they don't say anything about the topic at hand?
