Speaking with MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell this morning, Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson defended his latest on-air flub of not being able to name a current foreign leader he admires by asserting that not knowing where countries are could help keep the U.S. out of wars.
What???
“The fact that somebody can dot the i's and cross the t's on a foreign leader or a geographic location then allows them to put our military in harm’s way.”
He also said our soldiers have PTSD because: "It's because we elect people who can can dot the i's and cross the t's on these names and geographic locations."
Watch below.
Twitter was not impressed:
.@GovGaryJohnson just told @MSNBC that his lack of geographical knowledge is a plus bc you can't get into a war w/ a country you can't find— Alice Ollstein (@AliceOllstein) October 4, 2016
Gary Johnson, who is a joke of a candidate, thinks this election is a joke. Any Bernie supporter considering him should take a second look. https://t.co/hIKKqiLVOp— Crazy Cat Lady (@KrazyCatLadyNYC) October 4, 2016
