The AP is reporting that a woman was taken into custody after throwing what appears to be a shoe at Hillary Clinton as she addressed an Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries meeting in Las Vegas.
After the woman was walked out of the auditorium by security, Hillary joked "My goodness, I didn't know that solid waste management was so controversial. Thank goodness she didn't play softball like I did."
Authorities say the woman would be arrested.
