Warwick Rowers 2019 Calendar Is Here, And There's Video!

The Warwick Rowers are celebrating 10 years of their world-famous calendars featuring the UK athletes in the all-together for charity.

The calendars are not only tasteful eye-candy, but help to raise awareness for different charities.

From the Rowers' website:

The Warwick Rowers project is a social enterprise and gay/straight alliance that dates back to 2009, when our first calendar was launched.

Producer Angus Malcolm and generations of male rowers at the University of Warwick Boat Club have since achieved global recognition through a fundraising initiative and public awareness campaign that delivers a range of products to around 80 countries every year and reaches more than 140 countries through its viral messaging.

The team has won a large number of awards for excellence, innovation and social impact, including twice being voted the UK Charity Calendar of the Year.

One of the charities designated for funds from the calendar is Sports Allies, which promotes sport, and especially team sport, as an inclusive and supportive route to personal growth for everyone. We are particularly keen to promote team sport for people who are excluded on the grounds of gender or sexuality.

Instagram Deletes The Warwick Rowers

Without warning, the Instagram account of the uber-popular Warwick Rowers disappeared from the social media platform.

The rowing club of athletic lads from Warwickshire in the UK has produced a cheeky calendar since 2009.

Proceeds from the calendar benefit the Rowers’ outreach program, Sport Allies, which works to eliminate homophobia in sports through education and support of young LGBT athletes.

The team tweeted yesterday that the Instagram account had been ‘deactivated’ without warning. “We’re hoping this is a mistake and are waiting for them to allow us back on the platform to keep spreading our message,” wrote the rowers.

Before the account was deleted the athletes had amassed over 180,000 followers on the social media platform.

The Warwick Rowers have appealed the suspension multiple times to Instagram.

The rowers and Instagram have a long history of disagreeing on the content guidelines for the photo-sharing platform.

Instagram’s content guidelines state that they will remove images of “sexual intercourse, genitals, and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks.”

The vast majority of the Warwick Rowers content conforms to those guidelines.

UPDATE: Just hours after news of the deletion from Instagram, the Warwick Rowers' account is back.

Perfect for Hump Day - the Warwick Rowers are back in fundraising mode for Sport Allies and awareness against Homophobia.

Since 2009, the Warwick Rowers calendar has achieved global recognition as a fundraising initiative and a public awareness campaign, delivering products to around 80 countries every year and reaching more than 140 countries through its viral messaging.

The men of Warwick name three goals for their fundraising activities:

• to fund the ongoing development of Sport Allies, a registered charity with a mission to promote sport, and particularly team sport, as an inclusive and supportive route to personal growth for everyone

As you turn to the last page on your hunky guy calendar, it's time to start thinking about the new year and a new calendar to give you that special ping as you start each day.

One of my favorite calendars for several years now, The Warwick Rowers, features the three things that makes for a "feel good" experience when you buy the calendar:

• Raising funds for a great charity

Their famous nude calendars have gone viral - featured on Good Morning America, E! News & Huffington Post; and the message (yes, there is a message) is to challenge homophobia and bullying in school and sports. Sales of the calendar raises funds for their charity Sport Allies.

The boys are currently on a promotional tour of the US and will make their Los Angeles debut at the premiere of their behind-the-scenes movie 'Some like it Hotter' on December 3rd at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills in LA at 7PM.

Warwick Rowers celebrate the release of their 2015 Charity Calendar

This is the story of the Warwick Rowers, a bunch of college athletes who thought that maybe they could make a difference. They decided to do this by getting naked.

At first they did it to help their sports club, which had no funds. But what started as a bit of a laugh became a life-changing experience that none of them could have foreseen.

Since 2009, the calendar has been sold in 77 different countries and raised £200,000 for good causes. In addition to the calendars, the boys now have their own range of posters, t-shirts, art prints, hoodies, and greeting cards.

Warwick Rowers tease 2015 Calendar pics

For several years, members of Warwick University’s Rowing Club pose naked for a charity calendar. The proceeds go to help tackle homophobia in sport.

The 2014 calendar saw funds go to the Sport Allies programme, which helps young people who are victims of bullying, homophobia and self-esteem issues.

The rowers have already started teasing the 2015 calendar by leaking several pics on their Twitter account.

They're back! Warwick Rowers 2014 Calendar preview

The Warwick Rowers Calendar is back to brighten your days and raise money for Sport Allies

Featuring genuine university athletes who have stripped off to brighten up your each and every day, the Warwick Rowers calendar guarantees a very enjoyable 2014 for everyone who buys it, with a strong possibility of a welcome surprise around the start of each month.

And this calendar won't just be good news for you. As well as helping the students with their sport, it's raising funds and awareness to support Sport Allies, a new program developed by the rowers themselves in partnership with a registered charity, Educational Action Challenging Homophobia.

Sport Allies is dedicated to challenging homophobia among young people.
