True Blood's "Jason Stackhouse" is a good person (and hot)

Ah, I'm really gonna miss this guy.

I met Ryan Kwanten last year at the opening of Cirque du Soleil's "Michael Jackson ONE."

Hubby Michael and I hung with a while and he couldn't have been nicer or more polite. Sad to see the end of "Jason Stackhouse" but certain Ryan has big things on his horizon.

Very sexy scene between "Jason Stackhouse" and "Eric Northman."

About shooting the scene, Kwanten told TVLine:

'There was word on the street that a scene was coming, and to be honest, Alex and I had been — not necessarily begging to work together — but we’d been pondering the thought, “What if we were ever put in a scene where it was just the two of us? What would happen?” And this is what our illustrious writers came up with.'

He said the scene with Skarsgard took a few hours to film and both were in good spirits throughout.

'I always have a lot of fun, and I think that’s the important thing to remember,' he said. 'We’re just there to have fun and to stay true to the characters. Thinking back to this particular scene, I just remember Alex and I laughing a lot.'

TRUE BLOOD - Jason Stackhouse's shave scene with Ben

If you haven't caught this week's True Blood (Season 6, episode 4 - "What Dreams May Come"), you missed the very steamy scene between Ryan Kwanten's "Jason Stackhouse" and new guy on the block "Ben" played by Rob Kazinsky.

I do love Ryan's awkward/naive thing he brings to "Jason." I recently met Ryan and he's a cool guy, and yes, a quite a bit smarter...

Ryan Kwanten's new ad for surf wear Mambo

Check out this sneak peek of Ryan Kwanten in Mambo’s upcoming 2012 ad campaign!

The 35-year-old True Blood hunk serves as “Mambassador” for the Australian surf and streetwear brand, which will be sold in the States starting this spring at Bon-Ton stores and BonTon.com.

“Money has never been a huge inspiration for me. I love playing [my True Blood character] for the six months of the year that I shoot it, but when I’m done shooting it I’m looking for another challenge, something that’s going to take me outside that box I feel comfortable in,” Ryan recently told the Daily Telegraph.

“Whether I fall on my feet or fall on my arse, I dunno,” he added. “You’ve got to take those risks.”

As for what fans can expect in the fifth season of the hit HBO vampire series, “If you figured we were controversial already, this is going to blow it off the hinges. It’s going to touch on a lot of fiery topics.”
