New Trailer Celebrates 40th Anniversary Of GREASE

The most successful movie musical of all time - Grease - turns 40 this year and it's easy to imagine a huge reunion must be in the works.

The film helped propel Grammy Award-winning pop-star Olivia Newton-John into a new stratosphere, and John Travolta, fresh off of, became a bona fide movie star.

According to reports, the 1978 blockbuster has been fully restored and given an extra twirl of hair grease to ensure it's still the groundbreaking, uplifting, tuneful, systematic/hydromatic throwback to 50's fun we've all come to know and love.

Word is the flick will be released across 94 Cineworld cinemas across the U.S. in April just in time for more "Summer Lovin.'"

So, who's still "Hopelessly Devoted" to the massive retro-musical that never tires of reminding us "we go together?"

First, we got the above pic via Instagram of Lady Gaga and Barbra Streisand on Saturday night.

Then the story becomes even more interesting as it appears Streisand and hubby James Brolin not only hosted Gaga but also John Travolta, his wife Kelly Preston, and writer/director Ryan Murphy (GLEE, American Horror Story).

What could the Hollywood powerhouses be up to?

Tony Awards: Jonathan Groff introduces Idina Menzel

John Travolta apologized and sent huge bouquet of flowers to Idina Menzel

E! News has learned that John Travolta sent Idina Menzel a giant bouquet of flowers about a week and a half ago to formally apologize for the snafu, which occurred onstage at the 86th Annual Academy Awards when Travolta was introducing the actress-singer before her performance of "Let It Go," during which time he seemingly called the Frozen beauty "Adele Dazeem."

"He sent  her a big, gorgeous bouquet of flowers to her dressing room. It was HUGE. It was his apology to her," a source exclusively tells E! News.

Travolta sent the flowers to Menzel at the location of her new musical on Broadway, If/Then, at the Richard Rogers Theatre in New York.

Parody song "Adele Dazeem" sung to the tune of "La Vie Boheme" from RENT

I know the topic/joke has gotten stale already, BUT...

This little parody song, sung to the RENT tune "La Vie Boheme," is pretty funny having "Travolta-ized" every name in the song. Everyone's name gets mangled in this one.

Clever.

So take just one more second to remember the fabulous "Adele Dazeem" as sung by Randy Rainbow.

John Travolta responds to Oscar night flub of Idina Menzel introduction

The past two days have been full of jokes and laughs at the expense of John Travolta after he butchered Idina Menzel's name during the introduction to perform the Oscar winning song "Let It Go" from FROZEN.

It turns out the public isn't alone on the subject. Travolta told E! News that he wasn't very happy about the incident himself:

"I've been beating myself up all day," the Be Cool star said in a statement to E! News. "Then I thought...What would Idina Menzel say? She'd say, 'Let it go, let it go!' Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!"

Word is Travolta was just fine during rehearsals on Saturday. So who knows what happened?

Idina apparently wasn't thrown by the flub. E! News says a source said she hugged Travolta backstage after singing. "The Oscars were a dream come true for Idina," the source said. "She wasn't going to let anything get in the way of that."

And yesterday, she tweeted, "Still pinching myself over my entire #Oscars experience. Dream come true."

John Travolta/"Vinnie Barbarino" mash-up over Idina Menzel flub

While much was made of John Travolta's flub of an introduction for Idina Menzel's performance last night on the Oscars, I did want to say that I've read several reports that Travolta is dyslexic, which would explain some of his bad read of the teleprompter.

That being said, you have to wonder how much he practiced knowing he would be introducing the Broadway star.

In any case, it's not a big deal in the light of day. Although, Travolta's 1970s TV persona makes an appearance in this mash-up addressing the mistake.

Travolta hasn't commented on the slip, but I'm betting he has a sense of humor about the whole thing.

One of the most anticipated moments of tonight's Oscar telecast was Tony Award-winning Broadway star Idina Menzel singing the Oscar nominated (and eventual winning) song "Let It Go" from the animated film FROZEN.

But when John Travolta introduced Idina, he mangled her name and millions of fans lost their minds.

Within minutes, though, a Twitter account was born - "Adela Dazeem"

The first tweet from "Adela" - "Thank you, Jorn Tromolto!"

LOL...

Holiday song of the day: "I Think You Might Like It"

Released last year, Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta reunited for the holiday CD "This Christmas" featuring this new song.

The video made quite the splash getting over 8 million hits in it's first week on Youtube and was shared over 10,000 times.

Fun Q&A with Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta in December 2012 while promoting their holiday CD "This Christmas."

I was at the studio during the event, and afterwards both Olivia and John remarked that it had been one of their favorite promotional appearances. Said John, "We actually got to take all the time we wanted to answer questions fully, and laugh and enjoy it."

I'd never heard of LiveStream before, but I think it's a great way for people to interact with fans. The "live" aspect made being there exciting, and the fact that it's available to be watched again later is a big improvement over Google Hangouts.

(For the life of me I can't figure out how to watch a Hangout once it's over...)
