Out singer/songwriter/producer Harrison Blythe recently dropped his debut music video - "Quiet" - from his new CD Fatal Highway.
The video is arresting with a hint of danger as the electronic track gives a hint of Depeche Mode, but with an eerie uncertainty in the air. Emotive without being obvious, Blythe shares an introspective world of black and white tension that effortlessly holds your attention. Just like his music.
Busy people bustling, strangers trying to get in
Darling could you check the front door
Cause it's quiet in here...
Also, I don't know what the black birds mean in the video but I loved their presence. Assign whatever definition you like, it was one more detail that made me lean in.
Blythe's album is released on the indie Chateau Gray label, and available on all digital download outlets. You can follow him on Facebook here and on Twitter here.
No two tracks on Fatal Highway are alike, so I really encourage you to check out the full album.
