Speaking at the Television Critics Association, Billy Crystal (who played one of TV's earliest out characters on the 70s show Soap), said he's not comfortable with the level of gay scenes on television today.
"Ah, that's too much for me. Sometimes, it’s just pushing it a little too far for my taste and I’m not going to reveal to you which ones they are. I hope people don't abuse it and shove it in our face to the point where it feels like an everyday kind of thing.'
Crystal was taking part in the panel discussion in part to promote his upcoming sitcom (his first since Soap), The Comedians.
