The excellent indie film Pride is up against bigger films in the same Best Motion Picture category.

Alan Cumming is up in the same category for his work on The Good Wife. Julianne Moore received a nomination for her work in Still Alice, from the gay directors (and real life couple) Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland. Amazon received its first two Golden Globe nominations with its original series Transparent, including Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Jeffrey Tambor.
