Costco vs Sam's Club - Where you shop matters

Now, if Costco can provide their employees with this much compensation AND still be profitable, why can't Walmart employees get the same kind of treatment?

Check out the stats below - Costco gets more out of their employees by treating them better. Is there a lesson to be learned here?

  1. Is this a comparison between Costco and Sam's or is it between Costco and all of Wal-Mart including Sam's Club? From what were these figures compiled? Thanks

  2. Nope. Lots of folks care about how other people are being treated. LOTS.

And if you can get low prices and know that you're benefiting someone/an organization that cares about their employees...more's the better.

Perhaps the folks who sniff of their nether regions are those who care about the dollar more than their neighbors and brothers.

  3. I loved and shopped at Costco for last 8 years. Lately the items on the shelves are starting to look like Walmarts.....torn beatup. I spilled cans of dog food all over the floor today at the store cause the plastic wrapping was torn and the case was turned around. Was embarrassing.

  4. I was searching for which ones to shop at, not which ones to become employed at. It is a well known fact that Walmart dont give a rats arse about their employees, so these numbers do not shock me. However, I really need to know which one to shop at with the better value for my family, not a business and shopping primarily for groceries and supplies, such as toiletries - not tires or electronics or insurance. Any advice, opinion, fact welcome. And yes, if I was to apply for job - well I am not an idiot, it is clear which one I would choose lol.
