Moon landing - July 20, 1969
Barely six years old at the time, I can actually remember the first moon landing.
Like practically every young boy at the time, I thought being an astronaut was the coolest job ever and pledged to grow up to be one.
Neil Armstrong passed away yesterday, August 25th at the age of 82.
A American hero who always often said he was just doing his job. He served his Nation proudly, as a navy fighter pilot, test pilot, and astronaut.
"Every human has a finite number of heartbeats and I don't intend to waste any of mine." - Neil Armstrong.
From Neil Armstrong's family: "For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink."
