2012 Emmy nominations announced

Nominees in major categories for the 2012 Emmy Awards announced Thursday by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

“Mad Men” and “American Horror Story” lead the pack with 17 Emmy Award nominations each.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jim Parsons, Denis O'Hare, Margaret Cho, Dan Savage, and Ryan Murphy are among the LGBT notables who were awakened with good news.
