Mitt Romney: 'Senior adviser' does not mean 'running my campaign'
Hmm... This sounds like semantics to me.
Mitt Romney declares he doesn't have lobbyists 'running' his campaign. But when reporter points out a senior Romney advisor is a lobbyist, Romney says "well, he's a lobbyist, but he's just an advisor - he isn't 'running' my campaign."
That's splitting hairs to a big degree it seems.
The point for the American people, I believe, is: are lobbyists telling candidates what positions and policies to hold? Are lobbyists involved in the development of candidates campaigns?
I think we know the answer.
